Separate services to be combined into one integrated service

Wokingham 14 July, 2008 Sequena, the UK based service and process transformation company announced today that Dacorum Borough Council ("Dacorum") has awarded a contract to Sequena for the delivery of process transformation software and services to be utilised in the design of the key processes to support the new Integrated Environmental Maintenance Service.
The Improving Dacorum Programme, which was created in 2005/06, is a comprehensive four-year programme which covers improvement activity across the Council, and a number of key projects are underway. Dacorum wished to appoint a specialist process-re-engineering and business-modelling consultancy for the delivery of re-engineered processes and associated work to support the combined activities of Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing to form the new integrated ?Environmental Maintenance Service?.
Sequena's LASERTM - lean approach to service evaluation and redesign - was developed to identify, design and prove substantive change in service delivery for public sector organisations. Facilitated workshops are used to capture and analyse the value streams or processes, develop options and a roadmap for change supported by a business case. New ideas are always ?in the room? and need to be brought out, captured, explored and proven.
"We were looking for an independent company we could partner with who could bring a combination of skills, tools and experience in this area." said Brian Scott, Head of Environmental Services at the Council. "We chose Sequena because this is a critical part of the project and they have delivered real, demonstrable results for Councils needing to update service delivery and in particular have specific experience in the Environmental Services area for local authorities".
Sequena was founded in 2002 and is focused on working with public sector organisations, particularly Councils. In December 2007, the Sequena approach and future outlook was validated when Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC) invested in Sequena through their 3en Ventures capital fund.
