When Sequena's MyLASERTM (My Local Authority Service Evaluation and Re-engineering) programme was implemented at the Council to transform service delivery, their Environmental Health department was the first to be reviewed and achieved initial savings of £90,000 against the £50,000 initial target set. The council is now rolling out this BPR programme throughout its other main services and departments.
The interview looks at how the initial review of the Environmental Health Department was undertaken by Sequena and the value Sequena brought with their process expertise, Engage! Analyzer process tool and unique business transformation methodology. Also discussed is the way in which knowledge was transferred from Sequena to an in-house team so that the Council themselves can carry out future reviews both successfully and cost effectively to achieve cashable savings and service transformation to become lean, modern and efficient.
